Curriculum vitae

Born in 1978, I was raised for the first 18 years of my life in Saarbrücken, the state capital of the Saarland. After a two-year editorial traineeship at the Celleschen Zeitung I studied politics, economic policy and communication science in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia. During this time I was awarded a scholarship of the Journalistische Nachwuchsförderung der Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung and participated in a crossmedial trainee-program.

While attending high school and university I cared for elderly and handicapped people and worked in a PANI-children's home in Costa Rica for three months.

After graduation from university, motivated by my love for cooking and food, I began an apprenticeship to become a chef in the Restaurant Allegria (today: Tschebull). After successfully passing the intermediate examination, I decided not to pursue this career path any more, because I realized that my future lies in journalism.

If I'm not working at my desk, then I'm cooking in my kitchen, meeting up with friends, playing badminton or relaxing at home playing card and board games.

I live and work in Wiesbaden.
